4 Tickets for the Ellis Island Hard Hat Tour - 4 Tickets  Hard Hat Tour Description: Save Ellis Island’s 90-minute guided Hard Hat Tour takes you through the select buildings and grounds of the historic Ellis Island Hospital. Visitors are lead back in time through the hospital where over 1.2 million immigrants were cared for before they were allowed entry in to the United States. Tour guests will see the contagious disease wards, kitchen, administrative building and morgue with a final stop at the physician’s residence. The tour also includes the installation “Unframed – Ellis Island, ” by the French artist JR. His artwork brings the landmark hospital buildings, its patients and staff members to life. There are nearly two-dozen, carefully chosen pieces, all were made from archival photos taken in and around the hospital, 100 or so years ago.
