Undated, signed lower right, depicting a wedding of a master sergeant wearing an early 20th century uniform, having a gold-tone gesso on carved wood frame, the stretcher having a paper label from The Victoria Art Gallery of the Corporation of Bath and another label from framers and restorers Bourlet & Sons, London dated 'Bath, 1907'

Condition: inspected under UV light, wear and tears to canvas wrap-around at stretcher, slack canvas causing warping at upper and side edges, stretcher marks, chips to paint near center left edge, areas of inpainting, wear through at lower right corner, wear to lower edge from frame, stretcher having angle iron reinforcement at joins, frame having light to moderate wear and angle iron reinforcement at miters
