Malkiel Tzvi Ha’Levi Tannenbaum, the renowned Divrei Malkiel. Written to R. Yitzchok Domnitz, Rav in Aberdare Wales. Malkiel Tzvi Ha’Levi Tannenbaum (1847-1910), was born in the town of Motele and studied in the great Yeshivos of Volozhin and Eisheshok. After serving as Rav in a few small towns, he was invited in 1887 to serve in the distinguished community of Lomza where he remained until his passing. He received Halachic queries from far and wide and his responsa were published under the title Divrei Malkiel, which remains a classic to this day. R. Yitzchok Domnitz (1881-1942) learned at the great Slabodka Yeshiva. He immigrated to Wales where he served in a number on congregations.
