R. SHMUEL ROZOVSKY. CHIDUSHEI TORAH - R. SHMUEL ROZOVSKY. CHIDUSHEI TORAH Page of Chidushei Torah (2 sides) handwritten by R. Shmuel Rozovsky. R. Shmuel Rozovsky (1913-1979) was a son of R. Michel Dovid Rozovsky Rav of Grodno. He was a prime talmid of R. Shimon Shkop in Grodno where he also learned extensively with R. Yisrael Gustsman whom he considered his Rebbe. In 1936, he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael where he learned in Yeshivas Lomza- Petach Tikvah. In 1944, he was appointed by The Ponevezher Rav as the founding Rosh Yeshiva in Ponevezh. In that capacity he taught generations of talmidim and many of the next generations Roshei Yeshiva were his talmidim. He had an enormous influence of the post Holocaust Yeshiva world and his seforim Shiurei R. Shmuel and Chidushei R. Shmuel are learned in Yeshivos worldwide.  See the introduction by his son to Shiurei Rabbi Shmuel (Makos) where he writes that R. Shmuel rarely wrote down his own Chidushei Torah.    16 by 22.8 cm.
