PRAGUE 1730. TZEDAKAH REGULATIONS. RARE! - PRAGUE 1730. TZEDAKAH REGULATIONS. RARE! Printed regulations from the renowned community of Prague under the leadership of R. Dovid Oppenheim regarding charity collections. Apparently, the poor who lived in Prague and the surrounding areas were collecting weekly from the Prague residents. This was causing a tremendous financial strain on the Prague Kehilla. These regulations enact that the poor may only collect in Prague, four times a year. For that purpose these pamphlets were printed, which must be signed by the community officials. The indigent may only raise funds with this signed documentation and the members of the community may only donate if the needy show the signed document. Those who fail to abide by these regulations and donate to the needy without the proper documentation will be fined! To the best of our knowledge this document is unrecorded!  10.8 by 17.5 cm.
