R. SHMUEL WOSNER/R. MORDECHAI, DAYAN OF BORISLOV OVER 80 GLOSSES! HAGO’AS R. AKIVA EIGER ON SHULCHAN ARUCH CHOSHEN MISHPAT/EVEN HA’EZER. FIRST EDITION THORN 1869. - First edition of the glosses of R. Akiva Eiger on Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat and Even HaEzer. With over eighty learned glosses handwritten by R. Mordechai The Dayan of Borislav. The sefer subsequently belonged to of R. Shmuel Wosner, who dedicated a full siman in his monumental Halachic responsa Shevet HaLevi to publishing these glosses (Shevet HaLevi Vol 7:237). In addition there are two glosses by R. Shmuel Wosner himself as well as his stamp.  R. Shmuel HaLevi Wosner (1913-2015), studied under R. Meir Shapiro and R. Shimon Engel (Zelichover) in Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin and immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1939. Following a number of years serving on the Rabbinate of the Eidah HaCharedis, he relocated to Bnei Brak at the behest of the Chazon Ish to serve as the founding Rav of Zichron Meir. He also served as Rosh Yeshiva of the re-established Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. He was one of the preeminent Poskim of his time and taught generations of talmidim including hundreds of Rabbonim.
