With a rare wrap bound at the front of the volume. At the back of the volume appears an extremely rare afterword from the publishers of the Zhitomir Shas. They write that have been accused of deliberately omitting Hago’os R. Akiva Eiger on Maseches Shavuos which indicates a lack of respect for R. Akiva Eiger. The publishers explain that they were unaware of R. Akiva Eiger’s glosses on Shavuos as in the Vilna Shas they are also not printed. Furthermore, in The Vilna Shas the Hago’as Ha’Gra on Maseches Shavuos and Avoda Zara are not published. This note provides a rare insight into the fierce dispute between the Schapira press and The Romm press and the famous psak of R. Akiva Eiger!  With a further note concerning the order of the printing of The Zhitomir Shas and the printing of The RIF on each Masechta in the same volume and not in a separate volume.   Schapira press. 1, 222, 1, 41. 99, 1, 14, 1 pages. 37.3 cm.
