R. Yechezkel Sarna. Yerusholayim 1947. - Warm autograph letter by R. Yechezkel Sarna to R. Yaakov Moshe Lessin of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchok Elchanan (father-in-law of R. Avigdor Miller). R. Sarna writes of the “Kinnus” of Chevron Talmidim and of the situation of Yeshivas Chevron in Yerusholayim. R. Yechezkel Sarna (1890–1969), was among the closest disciples of R. Nosson Tzvi Finkel the “Alter of Slabodka” and was the son-in-law of R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein, Rosh Yeshiva of the Slabodka Yeshiva. He had a leading role in the transfer of part of the Yeshiva from Europe to Chevron in 1925 and following the Chevron Massacre of 1929, the re-establishment of the Yeshiva in Yerusholayim. In 1934, following the passing of his father in law he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva where he served for the rest of his life. Handwritten on both sides of the page. 28 by 22 cm. Very fine condition.
