R. Yaakov Meisels. Long Page of Torah Novella. Lask 1930. - Long autograph page (2 sides) of novella on various topics by R. Tzvi Aryeh Yehuda Yaakov Meisels of Lask. Written to R. Shaul Moshe Zilberman of Vershiov. R. Tzvi Aryeh Yehuda Yaakov Meisels (d. 1923), was the son of R. Dovid Dov Berish of Lask. In 1874, he succeeded his father as Rov of Lask. Known as a distinguished Talmid Chochom, he authored the sefer Chedvas Yaakov and contributed to various Torah Journals. For generations the Meisels family were known as distinguished Talmidei Chachomim and Rabbonim. R. Shaul Moshe Zilberman of Vershiov (1852- 1939), was one of the most renowned Talmidei Chachomim in Poland prior to the Holocaust as well as a prominent Gerrer Chasid. Towards the end of his life he emigrated to Eretz Yisrael and settling in Tel Aviv. R. Pinchos Menachem Alter of Ger (Pnei Menachem) was married to his granddaughter. 27.5 by 20.5 cm.
