Avrohom Shmuel Binyomin Sofer of Erlau. R. Shimon Sofer (1850-1944), was a son of the K’sav Sofer. Known as a great Talmid Chochom and Tzaddik, he served as Rov in Erlau (Eger). He was tragically murdered by the Nazis at the age of 94. Published in Budapest in the midst of the Holocaust. With the stamps of his grandsons R. Avrohom Shmuel Binyomin Sofer (d. 1948), author of responsa Divrei Sofer and Machzeh Avrohom on the Chasam Sofer, and R.
