He served as Rav in Bichov and Pochovitz, hence the name Pochovitzer. Following the Cossack pogroms of “Tach V’Tat” (1647-1648), he served as Rov in Pinsk. He later emigrated to Yerusholayim via Venice and, through his travels, befriended the Chacham Tzvi. Author of various seforim including Derech Chochmo, K’nay Chochmo and Divrei Chachomim.
