Drishas Tzion-Har Tzvi. Handwritten Inscription of R. Tzvi Pesach Frank. Yerusholayim 1919. Rare. - Extensive sefer regarding Yishuv Eretz Yisroel, the offering Korbanos in the absence of the Bais HaMikdash, and the reintroduction of rabbinical “Semicha” (ordination). Sefer Drishas Tzion contains extensive rabbinical correspondence between R. Tzvi Hirsch Kalischer and his rabbinical cotemporaries, including Teshuvos with R. Akiva Eiger on the subject. With the lengthy addendum Har Tzvi by R. Tzvi Pesach Frank, with his handwritten inscription. For generations there has been Halachic and ideological debate over the obligation to reside in Eretz Yisroel, the offering of Korbanos and the reinstitution of “Semicha” before the ultimate redemption. Although other halachic authorities differed with R. Tzvi Pesach Frank’s opinions, all were in awe of his greatness in Torah and he was held in tremendous regard by both his rabbinical contemporaries as well as by the mases.
