Ha'Tevunah. Both Volumes. New York 1947. - Set of the Ha’Tvunah journals that were published by the Mirrer Yeshiva immediately following its arrival to New York. With an important introduction by R. Aryeh Leib Malin and many Halachic and Agaddic essays by some of the great alumni and Talmidim of the Yeshiva, as well as from R. Simcha Zissel of Kelm and the Mashgiach R. Yeruchum Levovitz. The contributors include: R. Yonah Karpilov of Minsk, (Yonas Ailim); R. Elya Chazan; R. Ephraim Mordechai Ginsburg; R. Zelig Epstein; R. Nochum Partzovitz; R. Shmuel Brudny and R. Simcha Sheps among many others. One of the great miracles of the Holocaust was the well documented story of the escape of nearly the entire Mir Yeshiva as well as students of various other Yeshivas from Europe to Shanghai. Following the War, the Yeshiva made its way to America, with most of the Mirrer Talmidim eventually settling either in New York or Eretz Yisroel. Includes a printed letter of presentation by R.
