Yisrael Gustman (1908-1991) was known as a child prodigy and was a prime talmid of R. Shimon Shkop. At age 21, R. Shimon wrote about him “Baki B’Shas U’Poskim, capable of being Posek Ha’Dor” . He married the daughter of R. Meir Bassin who was a Dayan on the Bais Din in Vilna together with R. Chaim Ozer and R. Chanoch Eigish (The Marcheshes), in addition to serving as Rosh Yeshiva in Yeshivas Ramielis. R. Bassin was niftar between the engagement and the Chasuna and R. Chaim Ozer appointed R. Gustman who was then just 21! to succeed his father in law both on the Vilna Bais Din and as a Maggid Shiur in Yeshivas Ramielis. After miraculously surviving The Holocaust he immigrated to New York where he served as Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim – Lubavitch and later re-established Yeshivas Netzach Yisrael Ramielis. In 1971, he moved to Eretz Yisrael and re-established his Yeshiva in Rechavia. He was world renowned as tremendous Gaon, particularly famous for his profound shiurim, later published in under the title Kuntraisi Shiurim.   21 by 28 cm. Fine condition. Opening bid $500
