With detailed by-laws of the kehilla including membership dues, obligations and dues to be part of the Chevra Mishnayos. R. Moshe Tzvi Twersky (1890-1972), was a son of R. Dovid Mordechai Twersky of Tolna, who immigrated to New York in 1913 from Russia. He was one of the first Rebbes to settle in America and the arrival of the “Tolna Tzaddik” was of such significance that it was reported in the New York Times. R. Moshe Tzvi Twersky settled in Philadelphia and was known as the Tolna-Philadelphia Rebbe. He led a Shul “Tzemach Dovid” and invested tremendous efforts in strengthening Yiddishkeit in the area. 31.5 cm. Fine condition, some wear. Custom binding and slipcase (lacking spine).
