R. Elchonon Wasserman. Baranovitch 1937 - Signed letter to a benefactor, thanking her for her generous donation of $18 to the Yeshiva and concluding with warm blessings. On his official stationary with his signature and stamp. R. Elchonon Bunim Wasserman (1874-1941), studied at the Telshe Yeshiva under R. Shimon Shkop and R. Eliezer Gordon, and later became a leading student of both R. Chaim Soloveitchik and the Chofetz Chaim. As Rosh Yeshiva in Baranovitch, he was renowned for his clear and penetrating shiurim which attracted many students. His seforim, Kovetz Shiurim, Kovetz He’oros and Kovetz Ma’amarim became classics and are widely studied in Yeshivos.
