R. Yosef Dov (Berel) HaLevi Soloveitchik. Yerusholayim 1961. Regarding the Jewish Agency scandal. - Historical long autograph letter to R. Yerucham Gorelik regarding the Jewish education of the immigrant children. In the post Holocaust years, the Jewish Agency “Sochnut” arranged the Aliya of thousands of Jewish children, many of them orphans, from the Diaspora. Although many of them were from Orthodox homes, they were enrolled in schools that were contrary to Torah true values. The Gedolim waged a fierce battle against this injustice, which put them at odds with establishment of the State of Israel. With mention of R. Aaron Kotler. R. Berel Soloveitchik (1915–1981), was the eldest son of the Brisker Rov. He began delivering shiurim to a small group during his father’s lifetime which later evolved into Yeshivas Brisk. Letters in general and specifically of this nature by R. Berel are extremely scarce. Good condition. Slight wear. 18 by 28 cm. Opening bid $1000
