R. Chaim Stein. Cleveland 1978. - Autograph letter written to Ezras Torah regarding his participation in the communal writing of a Sefer Torah. He writes that he wishes to participate as a Zechus for the complete recovery of his son Sholom Refoel Yehuda and specifies that he requests the possuk א-ל נא רפא נא לה. With additional details about his son and concluding with warm blessings. R. Chaim Stein (1912-2011), was one of the outstanding Talmidim of Yeshivas Telz in Lithuania. He led a small group of Telzer talmidim through Siberia during the Holocaust, eventually joining the reestablished Telzer Yeshiva in Cleveland where he joined the faculty and was eventually appointed as Rosh yeshiva. He was held in tremendous respect and was one of the preeminent Roshei Yeshiva, continuing to learn and teach Torah until his passing at the age of 99. 15.5 by 24 cm. Excellent condition.
