R. Yitzchok Yaakov Rabinowitz (R. Itzele Ponevezher). Unpublished - Long handwritten letter of unpublished novella (unsigned), on various topics including Bari V’Shema, Gittin and Nezikin, handwritten by R. Yitzchok Yaakov Rabinowitz, known as R. Itzele Ponevezher. R. Yitzchok Yaakov Rabinowitz (1854-1918), was known from a young age as an exceptional Illui. He studied under R. Benzion Sternfeld, R. Yeruchum Pearlman “The Minsker Gadol” and was also a chavrusa of R. Chaim Brisker. In 1889, he was appointed as a Maggid Shiur in Slabodka. He served as Rav in various Lithuanian communities, most notably Ponevezh, where he established an important Yeshiva. Author of Zecher Yitzchok. 27 by 20 cm.
