R. Baruch HaLevi Epstein/ Torah Temimah. Pinsk 1900. Extremely Rare! - Long autograph letter by R. Baruch HaLevi Epstein, the Torah Temimah with personal content. Written to a relative, whom he congratulates on receiving a rabbinical position which is a source of pride for the extended family. With mention of an upcoming family wedding as well as of his sister and her son R. Meir,) possibly R. Meir Berlin son of the Netziv(. At the end of the letter he mentions that he has received the proofs of his sefer on Bereishis i.e. his magnum opus, the Torah Temimah. R. Baruch Ha’Levy Epstein (1860-1942), was a son of R. Yechiel Michel Epstein Rav of Novardok (Oruch Ha’Shulchon). At the age of 13, he went to learn in the Volozhin Yeshiva for 5 years, where he was known as a prodigy. He received Semicha from his uncle the Netziv, the Beis Ha’Levy and R. Refoel Schapiro. He married the daughter of R. Elozor (Lazer) Moshe Horowitz of Pinsk. He was the prolific author of various important seforim, including Mekor Baruch on the Yerushalmi, an autobiographical work titled Mekor Baruch, Tosefes Brocho and his magnum opus, the Torah Temimah on Chumash after which he is known.
