Periush HaTurim First edition. Zolkiew 1806. - With approbations by the Kozhnitzer Maggid and R. Avrohom Chaim of Zlotchov. Fundamental commentary on the weekly Torah portions by R. Yaakov, son of the Rosh and author of the Arba’ah Turim. Although the Ba’al Ha-Turim was first printed in Constantinople 1500 and subsequently in almost every edition of the Chumash, it was not until 1806 that the complete commentary was published. The Ba’al HaTurim’s concise commentary consists of mystical and symbolical references often using gematria and acronyms as well as other occurrences of particular words elsewhere in the Torah. The Peirush Al HaTorah is a lengthy commentary and its publication in 1806 was of particular significance. Vinograd Zolkiew 680. Merhoffer press. [2], 126 pages. 21 cm. Excellent condition.
