Taharas HaKodesh Amsterdam 1733. - Important ethical work published anonymously. With enthusiastic approbations from R. Yaakov Katz, R. Aryeh Leib of Reisha, R, Yitzchok Zelig of Kalisch, and R. Yitzchok of Yanova. With a lengthy introduction by the author who explains that the objective of the sefer is to provide an ethical guide to daily behavior including Torah study; prayer; business ethics; Shabbos and Yom Tov etc. The author according to his introduction, chose to remain anonymous in order to avoid pride of authorship. Bibliographers however maintain that this was probably also because of his criticism of contemporary rabbis, institutions, and customs.
