Sefer HaYovel R. Meir Shapiro of Lublin. Lodz 1930. - Rare jubilee book in honor of R. Meir Shapiro upon the completion of twenty years of his illustrious career as Rav in Galina, Sanock, Pietrikow and Lublin, as well as founder of Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. Following the title page is a portrait of R. Meir Shapiro. Also included are glossy photographs of the Yeshiva students, the Yeshiva building, the corner laying ceremony as well as an extensive overview of his life and chapters on the various stages in the establishment of the Yeshiva. R. Meir Shapiro (1887-1933), was known as a child prodigy and referred to as the Illui of Shotz. He served as Rav of Galina, Sanock, Pietrekow and finally Lublin. He founded Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin, which became the flagship Yeshiva of Poland and initiated the Daf Ha’Yomi program which is followed by tens of thousands to this day.
