Mishnayos Eitz Chaim. Set. First Edition. Livorno 1653 - The six Sedarim of Mishnayos, with the commentaries of Rashi and the Eitz Chaim commentary by R. Yaakov (MaHaRI) Chagiz. R. Yaakov Chagiz (1620–1674), was born in Morocco. He was a talmid of R. Dovid Karigal, who later became his father in law. In about 1646, he travelled to Italy to print his seforim, where he lived until 1657 when he immigrated to Yerusholayim. He was renowned as a tremendous Talmid Chochom and had many distinguished Talmidim. He was a prolific author, however a large portion of his manuscripts were lost.
