Yoseph ben Avrohom Gikatilla (1248-c.1325), was a Talmid of the renowned Kabbalist R. Avrohom Abulafia. For centuries, Shaarei Orah has been widely accepted as an introduction to the learning of Kabbalah and the systematic presentation of the Sefiros and their code names. It is said that the Arizal commented that the sefer Shaarei Orah is the “key” to the correct understanding of the wisdom of Kabbalah. The Mantua edition was printed the same year hence it is unclear which of the two, is the first edition. (Stefansky Hebrew Classics 340). 84 pages. 20 cm. Poor/fair condition.
