Magnificent rabbinical ordination “Semicha” signed by R. Ovadia Yosef.
R. Ovadia Yosef (1920-2013), was born in Baghdad, and immigrated as a child with his parents to Yerusholayim. Known as child prodigy, he was famous from a young age as tremendous Talmid Chochom, coupled with incessant hasmoda. He served in various distinguished positions, notably as Chief Rabbi of Cairo, Tel Aviv and finally as Rishon L’Zion. Author of tens of seforim, he was the preeminent leader and Halachic decisor of the Sephardic community in recent years.
