R. Shmuel Yitzchok Hillman/London 1931. - Autograph letter of blessings by R. Shmuel Yitzchok Hillman to the esteemed Sassoon family. R. Shmuel Yitzchok Hillman (1868-1953), was born in Kovno, Lithuania and received Semicha from the ADERES, R. Refoel Shapiro, R. Meir Simcha, and the RIDVAZ. In 1897, he was appointed Rov of Barzin. In 1908, he was appointed as Rov in Glasgow Scotland, where he founded a Beis Din. In 1914, he was appointed as a Dayan in the London Beis Din. In 1934, he settled in Yerusholayim where he co-founded Yeshivas Ohel Torah together with his son-in-law R. Yitzchok Eisek HaLevy Herzog, where many outstanding Talmidei Chachomim studied. He authored the Ohr HaYoshor series on Shas and other topics. 13 by 10 cm. Excellent condition. Opening bid $100
