R. Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman/ Ohel Moshe. First Edition. Warsaw 1889. - Signature of R. Yitzchok Yaakov Ruderman, on the sefer Ohel Moshe (volume one), by the renowned Gaon R. Elazar (Lazer) Moshe Horowitz of Pinsk. R. Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman (1901-1987), was a tremendous Talmid Chochom and founding Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Ner Yisroel of Baltimore. He studied under the “Alter” of Slabodka and R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein. In 1933, he moved to Baltimore, where he was offered a rabbinical post, which he accepted on condition that he be permitted to open a Yeshiva there, using the synagogue facilities. He led the Yeshiva for 54 years until his passing and under his leadership, it grew into one of the largest Yeshivos in America, producing thousands of distinguished alumni.
