R. Shimshon Aaron Polonsky- Tepliker Rav/ V’Yosef Shaul. First Edition. Yerusholayim 1942. - Sefer V’Yosef Shaul, by R. Yosef Shaul Elyashar (1867-1948), with a handwritten inscription by R. Shimshon Aaron Polonsky to his son R. Chaim. At the end of the sefer is an addendum with novella by the Tepliker Rav. R. Shimshon Aaron Polonsky (1876-1948), known as the Tepliker Rav was one greatest poskim of his era. He was descended from R. Pinchos of Koritz, R. Levi Yitzchok of Berdichev and R. Nochum of Chernobyl. At the young age of 20, he was appointed as Rov in Madvin, where he served for 5 years. In 1901, he was appointed as Rav in Teplik, where he served for 21 years and after which he is known. Upon the recommendation of R. Yosef Chaim Zonenfeld, he emigrated to Yerusholayim, settling in Beis Yisroel neighborhood, where he served as Rav until his passing. Many of the great poskim of the following generation were his students, including R. Dovid Jungreis, R. Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, R. Yosef Sholom Eliyashiv, R. Shmuel Wosner, R.
