R. Menachem Mendel Hager/Vishiva. Derech Ha’Tovah V’Hayeshorah. First Edition. Zenta 1929. - Part two of culled teachings from tens of Chassidic seforim, arranged in alphabetical order. By R. Sholom Yosef Klein of Zenta, author of the famous sefer Kol Sofrim on Hilchos STAM. The R. Menachem Mendel Hager of Vishiva copy, with his signature on the first page, as well as his stamp on pages 10 and 78. Additionally, at the end of the book are two stamps of his Yeshiva, Beis Yisroel. R. Menachem Mendel Hager of Vishiva (1885-1941), was the oldest son of the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz. Known as a tremendous Talmid Chochom, he served as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in the town of Vizhnitz. Following World War One, he relocated with his father to Grosswardein. In 1921, he was appointed as Rav of Vishiva, where he led a large Yeshiva with hundreds of students. Additionally, he was one of the most prominent rabbinical leaders in Romania in the period between the two World Wars. M. l. Hirsch press. 79 pages. 15 cm. Fine condition. Original binding (loose).
