Mordechai Sholom Yosef Friedman (1896-1979), was a son of R. Aaron, the third Rebbe of Sadigura and a direct descendent of R. Yisroel of Ruzhin. Well before the Holocaust he encouraged his Chassidim to settle in Eretz Yisroel. In 1939, the Rebbe visited Eretz Yisroel and on the recommendation of his uncle, R.
