Yitzchok Meir Alter of Gur (Chidushei HaRi”m) with stamps of R. Elya Lopian. Lacking title page and final three pages. 118, 18 pages. 31.5 cm. Antique binding. R. Elya Lopian (1876-1970), was born in Poland and learned in the famed Talmud Torah of Kelm. In 1928, he emigrated to England where he served as Rosh Yeshiva in the Eitz Chaim Yeshiva. In 1950 he moved to Eretz Yisroel. Although initially he did not plan to accept a position in Eretz Yisroel, with the blessing and encouragement of the Chazon Ish, he agreed to serve as Mashgiach in the Yeshiva of Kfar Chasidim, headed by R. Noach Shimonovitz. In that capacity he educated hundreds of talmidim in the hallowed traditions of the Mussar movement. His own sons and sons-in-law were also world renowned Talmidei Chachomim, including R. Leib Gurwicz and R. Leib, R. Eliezer and R. Chaim Shmuel Lopian. Opening bid $400
