Nosson Adler of Frankfurt and an associate of The Chasam Sofer. He served in various important Rabbinical positions in Germany, including Offenbach, Frankfurt and most notably Wurzburg. He led a great Yeshiva and his students played an enormous role in the Rabbinate in the following generations. His notable students include, R. Nathan Marcus Adler (Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom), R. Yitzchok Dov Bamberger (Chief Rabbi of Wurzburg), R. Isaac Bernays (Rav in Hamburg), R. Yaakov Ettlinger (Aruch L’Ner) and R.
