Second variant edition based upon the manuscript of R. Meshulam Zussman of Zhitomir, a talmid of The Bas Ayin. With many additions and variations to the first edition. R. Avroham Dov of Ovruch (1765-1841), was a close talmid of R. Nachum of Chernobyl (Meor Einayim) and his son R. Mordechai of Chernobyl, as well as of R. Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev. He served as Rav of Ovruch for 40 years and was famous as ”The Holy Rav of Ovruch”. In 1833, he immigrated to Eretz Israel, and established his Beis Midrash in Tzfas, where he became the leader of the Chassidic communities. Miraculous stories are related of his survival from the tragic earthquake in Tzfas in 1837. The Rebbe warned his Chassidim not to leave the Shul, and he himself lay on the floor of the Beis Midrash while the surrounding Chassidim held on to his table. The entire building collapsed with the exception of the narrow area in which the Rebbe and his Chassidim lay. Following the earthquake, he invested tremendous efforts to restore the Tzfas community. Many miraculous stories are related about the Bas Ayin and thousands flock to his Kever annually on his Yahrzeit.  R. Aaron of Alik/Faltishin (1842-1907) was a son of R. Tzvi Aryeh Landau of Faltishin and a descendant of the Zlotchover Maggid and the Aliker Rebbes. He was a son in law of R. Avrohom Brandwein of Strettin. He was close to R. Yisroel of Ruzhin who appointed him as a Rebbe even giving him a Kvittel and Pidyon. He later moved to Eretz Yisroel settling in Tzfas and is buried close to the Be’er Mayim Chaim in Tzfas.
