With the invention of the steam engine, there began the use of millstones operated by steam to produce flour for Matzos. Some leading Poskim forbade using such millstones. A fierce halachic debated ensued, with both sides publishing seforim expounding their positions. This sefer quotes an astonishing number of Poskim, from both “East” and “West” including The Divrei Chaim of Tzanz, R. Shlomo Kluger and R. Yitzchok Elchonon Spektor of Kovno.
