Yitzchok Krasilschikov, the Poltava Gaon. R. Yitzchok Krasilschikov (1888-1965) was a talmid of R. Elya Baruch Kammai of Mir. A prodigious Talmid Chochom he served as Rav of Poltava and was hence known as The Poltava Gaon. In Poltava he published this sefer, which is considered the last sefer published in Communist Russia. He later lived in Moscow, where under the most trying circumstances he authored a multi volume commentary on Talmud Yerushalmi. On his deathbed, he requested of R. Tzvi (Harry) Bornstein to smuggle the manuscript out of Russia and have it published. With considerable efforts this was accomplished and the sefer was published as Toldos Yitzchak and Tevunah on Yerushalmi. [2], 21, [1] pages. 35 cm. Fine condition. Lacking wraps. Fine condition.
