R. Shlomo Zalman Breuer. Frankfurt 1903. Rare. - Autograph halachic responsum, mostly in German and partially in Hebrew, by R. Shlomo Zalman Breuer, son in law and successor of R. Shamshon Refoel Hirsch as Rav of Frankfurt. R. Shlomo Zalman Breuer (1850-1926), was born in Santo, Hungary and studied under his grandfather, R. Shimon Weiner, one of the first students of the Chasam Sofer, and in the Pressburg Yeshiva under the Ksav Sofer. In 1879 he married Tzipporah, the daughter of R. Shamshon Refoel Hirsch. From 1879-1890, he served as the Rav in Pupa. In 1890, R. Shlomo inherited the position as Rav of Frankfurt from his famed father in law, establishing a Yeshiva which he headed for 36 years. He was also active on behalf of the Agudas Yisroel. Father of Rav Yosef Breuer, founder of Kehal Addas Jeshurun in Washington Heights. 14.5 by 22 cm. Fine condition. Filing holes. Some stains.
