Shu't Yehoshua. First edition. Zolkiew 1828. Rare. - Halachic responsa by R. Yehoshua Heschel Babad, (grandfather of the Minchas Chinuch). Includes two responsa sent to the Minchas Chinuch as a young bochur. R. Yehoshua Babad was renowned throughout Poland and Galicia as a tremendous Talmid Chochom and corresponded with many of the greatest Talmidei Chachomim of his era including R. Ephraim Zalman Margulies (Bais Ephraim), R. Aryeh Leib Heller (Ketzos Ha’Choshen) and R. Yaakov Lorberbaum (Chavas Da’as). He served as Rav in Lublin and Tarnapol. One of Rav Yehoshua Babad’s son’s was R. Moshe Babad who served as Rav in Pshevorsk who was the father of R. Yosef Babad (Minchas Chinuch). Vinograd Zolkiew 839. Merhoffer press.
