Yehoshua Leib Diskin/R. Naftali Hertz Halevy 1893. ר’ יהושע לייב דיסקין/ר’ נפתלי הרץ הלוי תרנ”ג (1893). - Two documents sent to R. Yehoshua Leib Diskin regarding the then newly established Wadi Chanin settlement. Wadi Chanin is located in central Israel and is currently known as Nes Tziona. In the first document the community members appeal to R. Diskin to borrow a Sefer Torah for their local community. At the end of the letter R. Naftali Hertz Halevy Rav of Yaffo attests to the authenticity of the request and signs the letter. The second document is the actual loan contract which the founding ten members of the new congregation signed assuming responsibility for the Sefer Torah on loan from R. Diskin. Excellent condition.
