With a lengthy in depth discussion on various fundamentals of Judaism, including free will, faith, Torah study, Mesorah and Man’s purpose and obligations. R. Joseph Breuer (1882-1980) was a son and disciple of R. Solomon Breuer and a grandson of R. Shimshon Refoel Hirsch. He was the founding Rav of the prestigious Khal Adass Jeshurun community in Washington Heights where despite great obstacles he was successful in building a community modeled upon the ideals and customs of R.
