Complete First Edition. Venice 1523. תלמוד ירושלמי. מהדורה ראשונה שלמה. וינציאה רפ”ג (1523) - First edition of the Talmud Yerushalmi. All four parts bound in one volume, with four separate title pages at the beginning of each of the four orders. The first word of each of the orders within elaborate floral woodcut. Comprises: Zera’im, Moed, Noshim and Nezikin, the latter being titled “Sefer Yeshuos”. The Jerusalem Talmud is a collection of rabbinic notes on the second-century Jewish oral tradition known as the Mishnah. The Jerusalem Talmud was compiled in Erets Yisroel, and was completed sometime around 400. It precedes its counterpart, the Babylonian Talmud by about 200 years and is written in both Hebrew and Aramaic.
