In addition to the traditional text of the Haggadah, there is a Yiddish and English parody of the Haggadah describing the merits and needs of the Yeshiva in an effort to raise funds for the Yeshiva. Each part of the Haggadah is referenced to the plight of the Yeshiva. For example: Marror Bitter Herbs – “It is bitter and hard to keep up the existence of the Yeshiva…The “simanim” in Yiddish are YRC”B DH”G, ” which stands for, “Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin Darf Hoben Gelt”. While certainly humorous, apparently an article appeared in the newspaper Der Tag criticizing the license taken by the authors.
