Tzvi Elimelech Shapiro (1783-1841), was one of the most prominent Chassidic Rebbes of his period. He was a close talmid of R. Mendel of Rimanov and the Chozeh of Lublin, as well as of the Apta Rav and the Kozhnitzer Maggid. From a young age he served as Rav of various Galician communities, yet he is primarily renowned as the Rav of Dinov. He also served as Rav of Munkacs. He was a prolific author who wrote many Seforim on wide variety of subjects. The Seforim of the Bnei Yissaschar received great acclaim and are considered classics of Chasidic teaching.
