ASARA L’MEAH. FATHER OF R. SIMCHA BUNIM OF PESHISCA. FIRST EDITION. BERLIN 1801. RARE!
Rare Sefer with ten Deroshos, delivered by R. Tzvi Hirsch, the Maggid of Vodislov.
In his introduction he writes that with the generous support of the Kehilla of Berlin, he was able to finance the printing of ten out of a total of one hundred Deroshos, hence the name Asara L’Meah.
R. Tzvi Hirsch of Vodislov, was the son-in-law of R. Betzalel of Zolkiew, author of the B’Sheim Betzalel. He served as a Maggid in Vodislov.
R. Simcha Bunim of Peshisca (1765-1827), was a central figure in the Chassidic movement. In his youth, he studied under his father and later in Mattersdorf and Nikolsburg.
