Classic commentary to the Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer by R. Moshe Lima of Brisk and Vilna. Received to almost unprecedented acclaim, this commentary was subsequently incorporated to nearly every edition of the Shulchan Aruch.
R. Moshe Lima of Brisk (1605-1670), was of the most renowned Poskim of his generation. He served as Rav in Slonim and Brisk before serving as Av Beis Din of Vilna alongside the ShaCh, the Sha’ar Ephraim and the Beis Hillel.
On the title page is an inscription signed by R. Meir Tarnopoler stating where and when he purchased the sefer.
R. Meir Tarnopoler was a son in law of R. Mordechai Yaffe (The Levush). He served as Rav in Intengin. Author of Sefer Meor HaKatan (Furth 1697).
