Commentary to the Torah, which includes literal, homiletical, Kabbalistic and philosophical interpretations, by R. Yitzchak Karo, uncle and Rebbe of the Beis Yosef.
R. Yitzchak Ben R. Yosef Karo (1458-1535), lived in Toledo where he led a great Yeshiva. Several years before the Spanish Expulsion in 1492, he moved his Yeshiva to Portugal, but following the subsequent expulsion of the Jews from there, he fled to Turkey where he served on the Rabbinate of Constantinople, where the Toldos Yitzchak was first published in 1518.
