Siddur for the entire year, with a commentary including explanation of the words, Kavanos for various Mitzvos, based on the writings of the AR”I, compiled by R. Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the Ba’al HaTanya. Published by R. Chanina Lipa and R. Yehoshua Heschel Schapiro. This Siddur was enormously popular and as such it is particularly rare to find a copy in such magnificent condition.
As is well-known, Seforim, and particularly prayer books, printed by the Schapiro family press in Slavitta, Yosefow and later in Zhitomir were exceptionally favored by many of the great Chasidic Rebbes and, in turn, their followers.
