Simcha Bunim of Peshisca (1765-1827), was a central figure in the Chassidic movement. In his youth, he learned in Mattersdorf and Nikolsburg. After being introduced to the world of Chassidus, he became a Chassid of the Kozhnitzer Maggid, the Chozeh of Lublin and the Yid HaKadosh of Peshisca. Following the passing of the Yid HaKadosh, he became the Rebbe of most of the Peshisca Chasidim. The final page of the Sefer contains a cryptic letter by R.
