Tzvi Elimelech Shapiro of Dinov. R. Tzvi Elimelech Shapiro (1783-1841), was one of the most prominent Chassidic Rebbes of his period. He was a close talmid of R. Mendel of Rimanov and the Chozeh of Lublin, as well as of the Rebbe of Apta and the Maggid of Kozhnitz. From a young age he served as Rav of various Galician towns, yet he is primarily renowned as the Rav of Dinov. He also served as Rav of Munkacs. He was a prolific author who wrote many Seforim on wide variety of subjects. The Seforim of the Bnei Yissoschar received great acclaim and are considered classics of Chasidic teachings.
