Maaseh Shehoy. Regarding the Noda B’Yehuda & R. Yaakov Shimshon of Shepotivka. Warsaw 1892. - Record of a supposed debate between the Noda B’Yehuda and R. Yaakov Shimshon of Shepotivka. As is well known, the Noda B’Yehuda was a Misnaged and opposed the Sefer Toldos Yaakov Yosef. This book relates that following his passing, R. Yaakov Yosef of Polnoya appeared to his talmid R. Yaakov Shimshon of Shepotivka and sent him to the Noda B’Yehuda to discuss his opposition to the Sefer. R. Yaakov Shimshon travelled to Prague disguised as a pauper and allegedly succeeded in convincing the Noda B’Yehuda to withdraw his claims against the Toldos. “And when the Rav of Prague heard this, he immediately took the sefer Toldos Yaakov Yosef… lifted it up and kissed it…, and asked R. Yaakov Shimshon of Shepotivka to relate a miraculous story about his Rebbe. 8 pages. Pages loose with worming along the edges. Opening bid $200
